derelicts everywhere, shopping centers, kiosk-boxes, profuse palasts, collapsing
old buildings and mirrored storefronts of western banks and shops form the city's
face.If you like contrsts then you will love Budapest.
A walk down the river Donau may be a romantic idea - but it is actually a rather
dangerous adventure. Between the Tram-lines and a motorway you have to share the
sidewalk with cyclists, skateboarders and roller-skaters. So walking down the
promenade you'll have to watch you step in order not to be rolled over.
Of cause you can also skip all this and take a confortable ride on one of the
Donau-Cruizers - which we didn't.

Some of the old buildings downtown have rather bombastic door decorations with
banconies on top of their heads...
people taking pictues of eachother... ba the Statue of Liberty (yes, there's
different Statues of Liberty: this one was buit by "The Russians")
Some of the buildings are a bit rotten... which is very nice looking on the
one hand, but obviously also a bit dangerous when you take a walk with your
dog...
