Berlin Marzahn - 'Concrete Jungle' in the 'Wild Wild East'
maybe you know 'Mitte' a bit - or maybe you even went shopping in the West, on
'Ku'damm' or at the KaDeWe, maybe you saw a band play in Kreuzberg, had a coffee
in Prenzlauer Berg and went to the Flea Market in Friedrichshain. And maybe after
strawling around these neighbourhoods one day you actually asked yourself (or
somebody else), where the 3.5 million Berliners actually live..? Well - not all
of them live in 'Mitte'. Actually most of the people live in the 'outskirts' and
'suburbs' - and quite many live in 'Marzahn' - basically a concrete jungle built
around a small village. ...
